Snowflake and tree Christmas cards...

This time of the year is my absolute favorite!! I love seeing all the colors of fall and the build up to Christmas so I am in my glory right now! :)

You will notice that I will be posting Christmas and Halloween projects for the next little bit because I think it is never too early to start getting ready :)

Today I was able to finish up this set of Christmas cards with matching box ~ and I absolutely LOVE it!!!

I used the Card Chatter stamp set, the October Stamp of the month for the tree and the Art Philosophy Cartridge to make the card itself.

I will be hosting a workshop on this set with the date being announced this weekend!

Studio J pages - created 5 double page layouts in 3 hours!!!

I have to say I do enjoy scrapbooking the old fashioned way with paper and embellishments. Since I have signed up for the Vancouver Regionals we are given 5 double page layouts through Studio J for free! Well...I can't pass that up! I am also very curious to see these printed out in 12 x 12 to see what I think.

This morning I sat down to get started on my layouts since the deadline is September 20th to complete them. I have to say I was a little worried that I had left this so late.

The hardest part was going through my memory card to decide which pictures I wanted to showcase in my layouts.

Once I uploaded all of my pictures into Studio J it couldn't have been easier to pick my layouts and design my pages including journalling! I am so impressed!

I do not believe I will ever become a digital scrapbooker exclusively (I enjoy the social aspect of the traditional way too much!) but I have to say it was nice to get so many pictures done at once!

Thanksgiving with Sonoma

I love scrapbooking older pictures because it takes you down memory lane and makes the memories take over. It is one of the reasons that I started scrapbooking...pictures are so powerful to help you relive your story. I really notice that with my daughter, her most vivid memories are the ones that she has seen the pictures in her album...such a nice legacy to leave :)

The Sonoma papers are one of my favorites in the new catalogue and this page just seemed to design itself! I love the Art Philosophy cartridge for the frames you can cut so easily. Almost feel like I'm cheating now! :)

There was a nasty glare off the pictures on this page so I have posted a couple different angles and hopefully you will get the idea of the layout :)

Saturday 17 September 2011

Today was one of the best days I have had in a while! Spending some quality time with a girlfriend and what else would you expect but a whole lot of...scrapbooking!!!

We had some nibblies, gabbed a whole lot and created until we couldn't see straight! :) If that isn't fun I don't know what is!!

Here is one of the creations from today (the others are drying at the moment)

I used the Art Philosophy cartridge and the matching leaf stamp to make the leaves really pop! Love that cartridge set!

I also used the Be Grateful stamp set which is gorgeous! The script from the pumpkin was used to stamp the matting for the photos as well...so versatile! Love it!

Off to bed I go now..with visions of paper, glue and scissors dancing in my head :)

Season's Greetings

I am getting started on my christmas cards...only 101 days until Christmas! Can you believe it!! I know this part of the year goes by very fast so the goal is to get my cards and tags done a little at a time instead of the normal big rush...here's hoping :)

I love the Captured Moments stamp set and last year I did not get the Holiday Commentary set but regretted it. I was so happy to see it in the new catalog and it was one of my first purchases from it!

Break The Ice Conversation Starters

I just love this box that comes with 24 coasters inside! It is the perfect size to make a set of the conversation starter cards with!

I used the Wonderland paper - which I am still starry eyed over :)

I think this has turned out so cute! I think I have stumbled across some great Christmas gift ideas :)

Roxie WOTG

Next Monday Sept 12th the ladies will be getting together to do the Roxie Workshop on the Go kit!

This kit is a wonderful package filled with bling!

I had a lot of fun doing these pages and I hope you will get a good idea of the pictures you will need to complete your pages!

I think this is the first kit that I have split my pictures up and they are not from the same event or even year!

I just loved the Zebra print to go with the "Big" Piano at FAO Schwartz!

I also thought the flowered page was a wonderful background for some cherished family pictures.

I was so carried away working on these pages that I forgot to take pictures of them before I added my own pics! :) Sorry!
